After weeks of practice at the beginning of this past school year, the Cypress Creek girls freshman basketball team has made a strong season start.

Coach of the girls basketball team, Jennifer Alexander, is looking ahead to the season before them.

“During the first game they did really well, but of course there is room for improvement, but we still won the game and have been doing very well with our improvement which makes me have very high hopes for this team to succeed,” Alexander said.

The freshman team, as well as junior varsity, most recently won against Cy Ranch on Nov. 29.

“They are learning how to compete,” Alexander said. “ They worked really hard in the pre-season. For months, they had been competing against themselves and now that they have been actually playing real games, I think they are ready to win districts.”
