Welcome to Music of the Month! Every month I write about music from various different genres that have been released. In November, many different artists have released different tunes for fans to enjoy. Here’s a list of some of the music that has been released.

Harry Styles- Watermelon Sugar

Last month’s Music of the Month featured Harry Styles and talked about his new album as well as his upcoming SNL hosting. It is safe to say fans were not disappointed by Styles’ double duty based on the interaction on social media. On Saturday the 16th, Styles released the second single for his upcoming album “Fine Line” before going on stage to host SNL. Single “Watermelon Sugar” features a new aspect to Styles’ music by introducing trumpet harmonies with vocals that give a summer feeling to listeners. 

Kacey Musgraves- The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show

In 2016 Kacey Musgraves released a Christmas album named “A Very Kacey Christmas”. Fans enjoyed seeing Musgraves put her own spin on popular Christmas songs while also singing a few of her own. This year, Musgraves featured in an Amazon Prime special called “The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show” with guests such as Lana Del Rey and Troye Sivan. In her show, Musgraves walked through a house set meeting her guests as she entered each room. The album features covers of classic Christmas songs while also showcasing new singles such as “Glittery”.

The Weeknd- Blinding Lights and Heartless

After his E.P “My Dear Melancholy” released in 2018, The Weeknd took a break from releasing to work on his upcoming album. However, the break did not last long when he released singles “Blinding lights” and “Heartless” on the 27th and 29th. Single “Blinding Lights” has an electronic beat combined with lyrics describing heartbreak. Single “Heartless” features The Weeknd’s usual style on the track with vocal layering and a catchy chorus.
