HOSA – Future Health Professionals is an opportunity open to students who are interested in pursuing the medical field in the future. HOSA’s mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and enhance healthcare delivery for all people.

“As HOSA is student-led, the club officers lead the meetings and arrange the events for club members to participate in,” Mrs. Zakia Bell said.

This club hosts many events that help students gain knowledge about healthcare education and also allows them to analyze their own qualities that might help in their professional lives.

“Dedicated, professional, leadership-minded, personable, and loves helping others are some qualities a person should have to be successful in this club,” club sponsor Ms. Melissa Marek said.

“HOSA hosts three blood drives yearly and teaches students about the different careers in the medical field, including bringing in medical professional guest speakers,” Marek said.

To be a part of HOSA, one must join the club on campus and pay local and state dues to be affiliated with the association.
