Creek gains new Auto Tech teacher

The newest member to the Auto Tech family at Cypress Creek High School is Mr. Luis Jackson. Jackson attended Lamar University, and before coming to Cy Creek, he worked with Magnolia ISD.
While teaching wasn’t his original career path, he came to it with open arms expressing his joy for learning something new everyday. Jackson feels he can never know enough. His eagerness to work with kids is unbridled; Jackson notes building people is the greatest opportunity and responsibility he will ever have.
QUESTIONS:
Q: Why did you decide to become a teacher in the first place?
A: “Because I love to learn, and you learn best when you teach.”
Q: Was Cy Creek your first option for working as a teacher?
A: “I also taught at an alternative school, and I enjoyed it a lot. Reaching out to students who had given up on themselves, to help them become more than they thought they would means everything.”
Q: What was your original passion before becoming a teacher?
A: “Auto Tech, of course.”
