Waiver changes last day of school
As requested by administration, the Board of Trustees approved a waiver stating the last day of school will remain as Thursday, June 5.
Originally the last day of school changed to Friday, June 6, because of days missed as a result of inclement weather this winter, but on April 14 the board discussed reversing that decision to the original last day of school.
“This decision was made in order to comply with the Texas Education Agency’s required number of instructional days,” Superintendent Mark Henry, Ed.D. said.
Dr. Henry released a district-wide announcement informing staff, parents and students of the TEA-issued waiver forgiving one of the missed days.
