A new trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie dropped on November 11, and this trailer pulled out all the stops, including a redesign for Sonic, a glimpse at the iconic Green Hill Zone, more footage of Jim Carey’s Dr. Eggman, and more information on the story of the movie.

After the original trailer came out in April, it received a lot of backlash from the public due to this Sonic not looking like the blue hedgehog we all know and love. Because of this, Jeff Fowler, the director, decided to push back the release of the movie, promising that this new Sonic will have a more authentic look.

The new Sonic design made him look a lot more like he looks in the video games. The public had a much better reaction to this new Sonic than the original. International Gaming Network (IGN) went on the record and said, “Sonic’s makeover appears to be more consistent with the character’s classic video game look.”

After the delay, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie is expected to run into theaters on February 14, 2020.
