In order to raise money for the club’s mission of a green movement and healthier lifestyle in the community, Generation Green will host a garage sale on Oct. 31 from 8-11 a.m.

The garage sale will take place in the senior parking lot. Health Science teacher and Generation Green sponsor Cathy Trocquet said this project benefits the community and works hard to involve students in environmental change.

“We still have to raise money for the project, so we figured we’d do something to get the faculty, the community and most of the students to be involved in,” she said. “We have students working and going around collecting things to make this project; it’s a way to get them behind this project.”

The club hopes involving the community in this garage sale will help raise funds for their project to create a green spot for the whole community. Trocquet said the garage sale offers a good opportunity to bring the community in and see the efforts of the wonderful kids at school.

“And to know that they can get behind a cause; that they can work on a Saturday,” she said. “It benefits not only them but our community as well.”
