The Silvies hosted their annual regional competition at school on Saturday, Feb. 14 featuring teams from across Houston. Senior Blakely Hill said the amount of talent at this competition made Silvies want to do better.

“It was a great opportunity watch other teams perform at the competition we hosted,” Hill said. “Our team was inspired by the routines we watched, and it motivated us to come prepare to compete for our next competition.”

Teams performed team and officer performances, ensembles, junior solos, senior solos and duets.

“We were really excited to compete the next week, and hosting the competition the week before gave us the extra motivation to perform even better when we competed,” she said.
