The week-long Homecoming (HOCO) festivities included a pep rally, procession, and football game. The purpose of the week, Oct. 10-14, was for students to engage in enjoyable school events and reawaken their sense of school spirit.

“I am [going to Homecoming],” sophomore Ariel Dewalt said. “I’m still in high school. I have one year in my entire life to be a sophomore and go to Homecoming.”

To encourage students to have fun leading up to Homecoming, there were dress up themes for each day of the week including Minions, USA, Western, Throwback Thursday, and color-coordinated outfits for each grade level.

“I’m mainly excited for the spirit days where we can dress up for the themes, and that’s the most attention for this entire week,” Dewalt said.

HOCO Week culminated with the main event: the Homecoming dance. On Saturday, the dance featured the newly-crowned Homecoming King Chandler Collins and Queen Season Finley.
