Unlike many others in today’s society, Kathryn (Katy) Allison is aware of all the wrongs and rights of the world. In a world where kids have to turn into adults immediately after high school graduation, she looks for an escape to something called “the future,” coming down to one conclusion: It can not come fast enough.
Q: What are your goals?
A: To be both happy and successful in whatever I do.
Q: What inspires you to work through life?
A: The thought of waking up to a future I’ve built for myself, like my own house and family.
Q: Who would you say is your role model?
A: Stephen Hawking, because he knows how the universe works, and that’s something I want to know.
Q: What extracurricular activities are you in?
I play the trumpet in band and participate in the photography class.
Q: What do you like doing in your free time?
Listen to music, write, and endlessly scroll through Tumblr.
Q: If you weren’t afraid, what would you do?
A: Definitely drive across the country and do the things I love. I don’t think I’ll be able to do that for a while, but I do wish that I could do that, like, right now.
Q: What is the theme song to your life?
A: “Landlocked Blues” by Bright Eyes, because it talks about wanting to leave but not knowing where to, nor not being able to.
Q: What do you like most about yourself?
A: My self-awareness, because I feel like not a lot of people have that feature.
Q: What are you most thankful for in your life?
A: Electricity; it enables us to do so many things, and I believe the modern world really does revolve around it.
